First off I just wanted to say I love the blog. We do all our services in Espanol and Farsi.
I've voted yes, because we do.
However, the ONLY two reasons they have is...
1. beacause it is part of UK law
2. our eldest son is deaf and we were the driving force behind its provision.
In California, you have to provide ALD in order to receive your use permit. We use something from these guys http://www.listentech.com/ , and they actually get used quite a bit.
Quite a few of you mentioned having the technology but no one asking to use it. I'm curious if people know it's even available. Maybe add a small line in a bulletin like "hearing assistance devices available upon request.
We have a hearing assist system but it wasn't used by anyone. We now use it as a wireless IEM system for background vocalists.
We have an assisted hearing system, but I don't think anyone ever asks us for a receiver. At least I can't remember the last time someone used one.
We provide hearing assistance; It called the Stereo Master fader.
We don't have any hearing assistance right now.
A short time ago, we had a short range radio transmitter, but it was just in the way and a nuisance, and at the moment there's seems to be no need for anything.
We would of course put it into consideration if it was requested.
At this point, we don't see the need, but I'm confident that if we ever had folks who needed them to hear, we would move quickly on getting it in place.
