Topics: leadership, Leading a Team, Mixing Skills By: Chris Huff November 9, 2010

The hardest part of many a project is knowing where to start.  These are ten starting blocks for leading an audio team.

  1. Establish a training program
  2. Establish best practices
  3. Establish Roles and Responsibilities and convey to team.
  4. Volunteer Shepherding (during and outside of church)
  5. Communication with pastor / worship teams on audio needs.
  6. Escalate issues to pastor / worship teams where appropriate.
  7. Regular mtgs with pastor / worship teams (discuss good and bad, needs, issues)
  8. Informal and formal appreciation of volunteers – awards, comments after service, etc.
  9. Establish annual budget
  10. Oversee equipment (upgrades, fixes, maintenance, etc)
